Giving is big business. Every year non-profit organizations solicit companies in the hope of obtaining much needed funding to accomplish their missions and help others. As well as helping to do good, supporting a charity can help your business in many ways.
1. It can contribute to your company identity
You are identified within your community as a business that has a social conscience. It can be a cornerstone of your brand showing your community that you are ethical and trustworthy. You stand out as different from your competition.
2. Better public perception
Sharing the stories of your involvement on many levels such as your company’s website or facebook site people can see what activities you are doing. Employees feel good about working for you as well as demonstrating to clients, customers and business partners you and your business are dedicated to charitable causes.
3. Employee relationships
Many people want to volunteer or raise money, but can’t find time in their busy lives to do it. Through your involvement they have the chance to be being part of an employer-employee sponsored activity. Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible. Funds raised will be used to assist children and families in need. Any funds raised in excess of the amount required will be allocated to a dedicated program for the coming financial year which supports homelessness in food, accommodation and affected by their particular circumstances.
